Scope
The scope involved comprehensive energy and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) management across multiple telecom circles to provide integrated, dependable and cost effective solutions. These solutions were to be extended to five data centers, 35 MSCs, 140 offices and 6000 retail outlets spanning multiple regions.
Challenges & Objectives
Efficient energy generation and utilization have become buzzwords in today’s business environment. With increasing energy compliance regulations, the client needed to better manage its energy procurement and trading system. Wipro EcoEnergy has the know-how and expertise to provide professional services in managing energy and operational services to clients around the year.
The client required a variety of O&M management services to improve efficiency and reduce costs across telecom exchange sites, data centers and campuses.
Wipro EcoEnergy’s Approach
Wipro EcoEnergy worked directly on the client sites to deploy controls and sensors and integrate these with our sustainability platform. This platform allowed the end-to-end integration and deployment of the energy data management, analytics and operations centre for the client. Additionally, any and all breakdowns or deviations would be handled through an integrated service assurance module.
Wipro EcoEnergy’s solution also allowed the client to centrally monitor and manage energy infrastructure assets across various client locations.
Benefits
There was an absolute reduction in costs at the end of the year across the client locations with:
- Energy bill reduced by 6%
- Energy operations cost by 2%
- Billing reconciliations benefits by 1%.
In addition, there were significant benefits such as increased asset life and overall decreased costs through optimization in AMCs, FMCs, spares and consumables. |
