 Sunita R. Cherian, Vice President – Human Resources at Wipro EcoEnergy.An Electrical and Electronics engineer and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, she joined Wipro Infotech in 1996 in the Solution and System Integration Division. She has held responsibilities in sales and marketing, evangelizing world-class process implementation in Wipro and in Human Resources. Sunita joined the HR Function in October 2000, and until lately was heading the TED function for the Telecom, Media and Technology business unit in Wipro Technologies, with total employee strength of over 20,000 employees globally. She has recently moved into the EcoEnergy business and her responsibilities include talent attraction, employee assimilation, employee engagement and leadership development.She is a member of Wipro’s Prevention of Sexual Harassment Committee, is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Master Coach and a PAPI specialist. She is a member of the Diversity Council at Wipro and heads the Gender Diversity committee. “Women of Wipro” or WOW was launched as a part of this initiative and it has been a roaring success in the organization. |
